Thanksgiving

I think this is the purest holiday..time to sit and reflect on the gifts we have been given…time to share a meal with those we love..time to laugh at silly family jokes..time to eat our traditional foods..time to remember loved ones no longer here..time to surround ourselves with love and light

Our family has Italian heritage and so we have homemade ravioli in addition to all the turkey and trimmings.  The pasta dish serves to wash long past Thanksgiving festivities over our minds..remembering childhood and a peaceful happy grandmother..remembering small children with pasta smeared faces..and remembering rolling dough and filling little ravioli cups…so many different relatives helping in the kitchen..knowing that the tradition is safe for the next generation to pass along..
